Destination Guide

Welcome to Punta del Este, the 'Pearl of the Atlantic'. Conrad Punta del Este Resort and Casino is located on Parada 4 in the heart of the city, across the street from Mansa Beach.

Situated on the Uruguayan peninsula and surrounded by water from Rio de la Plata and the Atlantic Ocean, Punte del Este provides a rich variety of things to do.

Follow the pedestrian promenade along La Mansa Beach and La Brava Beach with several stops along the way, including local handmade arts and crafts shops, dining options and Our Lady of Candelaria harbor. Ask the Concierge about the open-air markets on Gorlero, 20th and 24th streets and Punta Shopping, the city's main retail center just ten blocks from our resort. Discover art galleries off Gorlero.

If your interests include sports, schedule a tee time at a professional golf course only 10 minutes away, take in a Uruguayan polo match, or go horseback riding in the forest. Consider diving in the caves of Punta Ballena and waterskiing or surfing at Brava Beach.

Local Attractions at Conrad Punta del Este Resort and Casino

  • La Brava Beach
  • Lobos Island
  • La Barra
  • Isla Gorriti
  • Casa Pueblo
  • Walk across the street from the 17-story Conrad Punta del Este Resort and Casino to La Mansa Beach. Explore other Punta del Este beaches. Some of these are home to intriguing sculptures, some are crowded or secluded, and others are suitable for surfing (Brava Beach) or swimming and yachting (Mansa Beach).

Take advantage of nearby nature and wildlife reserves such as Lobos Island, which protects hundreds of thousands of seals. Discover nightlife at 'paradores', beach bars that serve tasty beverages with entertainment. You may want to party at La Barra, a section of town known for its nightclubs, pubs and restaurants.

Visit Isla Gorriti, only 2 km from the bay and within sight of our resort. Enjoy pine forests, the remains of an 18th century Spanish fortress and scuba diving.

Casa Pueblo, a work of Carlos Páez Vilaró, doubles as a hotel, museum and art studio at Punta Ballena. This location is a great spot for viewing sunsets, diving from tall rocks and watching for whales in the winter season.
