Set on stilts over the water, both Premier Water Villas (152m2) were built in 2011 for design lovers. They feature high-tech gadgets such as a 50-inch plasma screen TV, designer furniture and outdoor sundeck with a large infinity pool. Inside, the mood is contemporary chic with whitewashed walls and sloping ceilings showcasing a selection of artworks by Maldivian artist Eagan Badeeu. In the center of the room is a king-size ‘floating’ bed while in the bathroom an incredible sunken bathtub surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows. The setting is complemented by the latest in design and amenities including a private terrace with wooden sun loungers, umbrella, and coffee table, flatscreen satellite TV, CD stereo with iPod connectors, DVD player, Nespresso tea/coffee machine, air conditioning and/ ceiling fan, refrigerated mini-bar and IDD telephones. Toiletries are by Aromatherapy Associates. Maximum occupancy: three adults. Children under 12 cannot be accommodated in over-water villas.
